Winemaking News, May 2019

25% of the oak barrels used for winemaking at Chateau Changyu Moser XV are made in Changyu's own cooperage in Shandong province using imported French wood – we love these barrels for their very special toast.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
This saves a lot in logistics and at the same time allows us to blend China with French oak. After more experiments and trials, Lenz and our winemaking team intends to look for oak grown in China in order to blend it in with French barrels for helping to develop a CCMXV specific, unique style of our wines. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
It is just the beginning and yet, the goal was clear from the start of our new era in 2015: when you hold a glass of Changyu-Moser XV you should be able to recognise the distinctive style of the Chateau - please give us 10 years #chinesewine #ningxia .
